Armetta Pittman - Pennyrile Referral & Data Specialist |

Armetta is a child care specialist who was a family child care provider (FCC) for 12 years. Now she refers parents to quality child care programs in the Pennyrile Area. She also assists the Area Coordinator in making training opportunities available for providers, in addition to maintaining several databases for CCR&R. She has an IECE associate degree, as well as a degree in office system technology, both from Hopkinsville Community College. |

LA Worthington - ACCYN Outreach Specialist |

L.A. joined AACCR&R in September 2005 as the Outreach Specialist for the Army Child Care in Your Neighborhood (ACCYN) Program. The ACCYN Program is a collaborative effort among the United States Army, the National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (NACCRRA) and the local Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) Agency. With over 14 years experience in Early Childhood Education in the civilian sector as well as Army CYS in Vogelweh, Germany and Ft. Campbell, Ky., she also has a Child Development Associate (CDA) and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. |

Lou Brown - Green River Referral Specialist |
|
Lou has been a Child Care Specialist and Training Coordinator and Trainer with Audubon Area Child Care Resource and Referral since November 2000. Previously, she taught preschool for the Owensboro YMCA for 11 years, first as an assistant and then as the lead teacher. Following her tenure at the YMCA, she was the director of Kentucky Wesleyan College's on-site day care center. |

Carrie Blackham - Program Director |
|
Carrie has served as the director of the Child Care Resource & Referral program and the Child Care Assistance Program since February 2003. She has a bachelors degree in government and economics from Western Kentucky University and a Juris Doctorate from Western New England College School of Law. Before coming to Audubon Area Community Services, Carrie worked with families and children in the civil rights arena. |

Karen Plain - Program Assistant |
|
Karen retired from State of Kentucky after 27 years of service. Most of her tenure with the State involved working with programs for children: AFDC (now KTAP), Food Stamps and Medicaid. Additionally, she worked in Social Services (now known as Division of Protection and Permanency) as a Child Protection Worker, and prior to retiring, was manager of the local Division of Child Support Enforcement office. She began with Audubon CCR&R in 1999 and now splits her time between CCR&R and the Kentucky Works Program (KWP). Her education includes a BA in sociology as well as a certificate in applied computer studies, both from Brescia College. |

Mary Wade - Resource Developer |

Mary has been with Audubon since July 2007 but has been in the child care field for more than 20 years, having worked at Head Start back in the early 90s. She has also started her own daycare/preschool and taught preschool Sunday School and children’s choir. Following 8-1/2 years of teaching pre-k and music at Heritage Christian Academy in Hopkinsville, she returned to college and graduated from APSU with a degree in public relations. |

Virginia Erxleben - Pennyrile Area Coordinator |

Virginia is the coordinator for the Pennyrile ADD. Among her responsibilities is the coordination of early childhood training opportunities. She also collaborates with the community concerning child care needs, issues and trends. Additionally, she is the director/creator of the Butterfly Program, a safe-exchange program for families at risk of domestic violence. |

Nancy Roberts - Green River Area Coordinator |
|
Nancy graduated from Brescia College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is president of the Audubon Association for Early Childhood Education and serves on the Kentucky Association of Early Childhood Education professional organization board. In addition to holding a Kentucky Early Childhood Trainers Credential which allows her to conduct Early Childhood training sessions, she also serves on many councils and boards across the seven counties in the Green River Area Development District. Nancy has been with Audubon for more than seven years. |
